    Levi Saffer Letter This wonderful letter includes a number of Harrison County places, people and events in Levi's life. A joy to read, this letter was written in 1908. Levi was born and raise in Harrison County, Indiana. All of us wish we could find a wonderful letter such as this from all our relatives of the past.

    Local Shenandoah County Virginia History Website by Calvin Sonner Many people moved from this area to Harrison County, Indiana. The migration seems to have begun about 1810 and continued throught the 1860s. They carried names like Bowman, Haas, Sonner, Hottle, Kern and etc. Posted about 10,000 names (about 5,000 tombstone inscriptions) books and etc. Some records go back to 1770.

This Photo was taken at the Campground near Elizabeth, Harrison County, Indiana.
